It’s done! Josh was a trooper and the device was implanted with no issue! We still have a few days of recovery, but nothing like before. We‘ve been here for about 9 hours; I will update you all tomorrow after we’ve had a chance to rest. Thanks
Editor’s note: in a previous post, I misgendered Josh’s sister, Alana. The entire staff at We Heart Josh sincerely apologize for the error. While scheduled for 4 pm, Josh’s surgery has not yet started. We are not sure why, but will let you know when we are.
Josh is in pre-op, getting ready for surgery. We spoke to the representative from Boston Scientific, the company that makes his ICD, and he answered all of our last-minute questions. Josh shouldn’t have any restrictions or change in his activity, once the device has had a chance to settle
